The only reliable way to confirm disinfection is occurring is by measuring the cumulative UV-C energy delivered to a target surface. This is done using UV-C dosimeters—indicators placed on the surface—which visually display the dosage received, measured in millijoules per square centimeter (mJ/cm²). The dosage required to achieve a specific log reduction varies depending on the pathogen.

No. UV-C lamps must not be used while people are present. Exposure to UV-C can cause skin and eye irritation. UV-C devices must only be operated in unoccupied environments. ADIBOT UV-C disinfection solutions include a wide array of safety features to prevent accidental exposure to UV-C.

No. UV-C cannot penetrate glass or most plastics. Specifically, glass blocks 100% of any UV light with a wavelength below 330nm. Since UV-C operates at 254nm, it is completely blocked by glass.

No. Ozone is only produced by UV wavelengths below 200nm. ADIBOT UV-C lamps operate at 253.7nm, which is above the ozone-producing threshold. Additionally, the lamps are made of enhanced quartz to block any emissions below 200nm.

The A1 is a fully autonomous robot that navigates to disinfection points without manual repositioning. The S1 is an intelligent stationary device that requires repositioning between points.

The A1 can be relocated with minimal effort; its low center of gravity allows it to be moved with just one hand or the push of two fingers. Additionally, the robot can be autonomously dispatched to a location within a pre-mapped environment using the app.

The A1 uses SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms along with advanced sensors—including LiDAR, an RGBD depth camera with TOF sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and IR sensors. These technologies enable the A1 to navigate with high precision, allowing it to operate within centimeters of objects and pass through spaces as narrow as 28 inches.

No. The A1 operates offline. Its tablet connects via internal Wi-Fi, and all data is stored locally on the robot.

Yes. ADIS, the Autonomous Deployment Information System, allows operators to remotely manage and track disinfection cycles using detailed logs and real-time data. It provides both a high-level overview and granular data for each task, helping teams meet reporting and accountability requirements, achieve disinfection goals, and make informed decisions.

The A1 will notify users upon completing the disinfection task via its onboard speakers and notifications through the tablet and web platform.

The length of time will be largely dependent on the size of a room, how many disinfection points within the room, and the pathogen to be disinfected.

This depends on many factors, including the square footage of the desired spaces to be disinfected, the number of rooms to be disinfected, the frequency of disinfection and the time allotted for disinfection, to name a few. During the session, the team will review all safety protocols and provide hands-on instruction to ensure users are fully trained on how to map and operate the A1 safely and efficiently.

Yes, you can use the tablet and the web portal at the same time to control the A1. You can use the tablet to deploy the disinfection tasks and pause/stop the tasks via the web portal or vice versa. The web portal will always sync the robot’s latest status even after the robot is operated from the tablet.
